In 2022, Hawi Construction was asked to design and build two custom steel ramps for loading docks in Edmonton Alberta. The ramps were required to carry 30,000lbs and were to be easily removed if need be. Working with a local steel fabricator and engineer, Hawi Construction designed the concept and put the wheels in motion for the manufacturing of the structural members.

 

Once complete, the ramps were transported to Edmonton where Hawi Construction along with an onsite welder, positioned the ramps and secured them in their final place. Once complete, Hawi Construction attached two custom eyebrows with plastic curtains to the building to limit the amount of air infiltration between the exterior and interior of the building when loading and unloading operations took place.

In the end, the customer was very happy with the quality and service provided by Hawi Construction and it’s team.

• Delivery and Install of the two ramps plus two custom eyebrows.
